Boost pipe looks good! Did you have a leak on the previous one? Im thinking of doing the, seals on mine, BMW bedfordview quoted R400 for the seals only.

No leaks at all ..... this was purely a preventative measure to ensure the turbo lasts as I'm sitting on 168 000km .

With high mileage and the boost pipe being rubber , eventually wear and tear will affect the pipe , especially the seals . Once the seals give in it will start to leak and then the turbo will overspin due to trying to maintain the set boost.... and then goodbye turbo :thumbdo:

So purely preventative and the car is tuned so more boost ..... more of a reason to do it :thumbs:

Thanks for the response! My mileage is similar, I think I'm going to go ahead and do the seals. I also haven't decat yet which I've read prolongs turbo life so going to visit Madness soon for the decat and tune

Preventative maintenance is important on 320d/330d ...... these cars are built strong and just need to be looked after ..... I also believe in changing oil every 7500km or 6 months.

A decat will also be less restrictive and a Madness tune will be the icing on the cake :thumbs:

Have the original msport rims on one of my other cars .... depending where you go a decat (downpipe) will cost between R2000 and R4500 :thumbs:

Update time ...... so firstly a huge shout out to Vashan and Deago ( Auto Bavaria Midrand ) for the 1st class service and rock bottom prices raise:

I have always used non BMW workshops and private mechanics when it comes to maintenance due to being out of motorplan , I shopped around for prices on the pulley as well as the labour cost , and I was extremely surprised at the prices I got from the guys at Auto Bavaria Midrand .

I have always stayed away from any BMW dealers based on the higher prices ..... but took the car to ABM and am very happy with the service and prices I got from them :ty:

Anyone out of motorplan should try them first before going elsewhere...... they were brilliant :thumbs:

So I changed the pulley and did an oil service.

On the outside I sprayed the wheels matt black and put the carbon mirrors
