So o took the leep of faith and went to powerflow in edenvake and took the CAT out and the resonator box..

What a diffrence it makes much more responsive very happy with the guys at powerflow...

After the "DP" and centre box removal at power flow Edenvale I went to excede for some SW which makes a big improvement on the car overall.. I decided to g to the FRnR dyno night last night and run my car.. She made 165.1HP and 353NM on the wheels. I am hoping to get to the 190HP mark with a bigger cooler and watermeth and a revised map on the car .

Soon my rear H&R coilovers will be ready to be collected and installed from a fellow member..

Awesome looking car buddy, I'm very jealous.

Shoot me if this is a stupid question, I know cars loose kw's from the flywheel to the wheels, but how is it possible that a car that's suppose to be 135kw standard on flywheel, after the DP and software, only get 123kw at the wheels?

I also have a 130kw N47 320d, but a pre LCI, and I'm also thinking about DP and software.

Suppose my car will be under 100kw at the wheels at the moment then?

Not trying to diss anyone here, but either this dyno read incorrect figures, this car isn't healthy or something is critically wrong with the map.

This car should be making 165-170kw on the flywheel with ease, approx 140wkw+, torque is also rather low......

I believe my car is healthy and the figures on the sheet are read as WHP and not flywheel power so to figure out flywheel to wheel power will he rather difficult but let's give it a bash...

1KW is = 1.34 mechanical HP or so.

Now let's say the car is 135kw(on the flywheel) that's roughly 180Hp on the flywheel. From the factory.. As BMW dyno the engines on an engine dyno and not on the wheels.

So now we dyno a stock 135kW(Flywheel) car we would get about 95-100kw on the wheels so that's a loss of about 30% or more through the drive train etc... That's a HP figure of 127whp on a stock car at the wheels at altitude..

So with a mild map and the same dyno we are getting 164Hp and that's an improvement of roughy 35-40HP on the wheels to me that's a a big power jump in a TDI car... Correct me of I am wrong but I am no maths guru of sorts...

Its the dyno sorry,

Guy with the white Scirocco made 300whp at ALB we went to FRnR as he just got his car back from putting in watermeth and he made 268whp.

30whp less? Cant be right - my feeling the dyno was kak or someone didn't like the other tuners :fencelook:

Anyway KAR will show you your correct figure and im sure you will see more than 400nm on the wheels :thumbs::thumbs:

We finally managed to finish my boost pipe upgrade and inter cooler repair.

We threw away the plastic boost pipes and made our own out of 63mm stainless steel.

We also got the plastic tanks removed as one was cracked causing massive boost leek. We replaces them with custom made aluminum tanks.

The car feels way more responsive and feels like the turbo spools up slightly quicker.
