Thanks for asking Coisman. It is much better now - ideling is smooth not erratic anymore, pullaway is not hesitant as it used to be, but the power is there when it is needed suddenly.

Those lifter like tiktiktik sounds and vacuum like sucking noises are still with me, but overall I am satisfied that the motor is much smoother - like I expect from a BMW 6.

Could have been a carbon build up or a fithy injector ? Or was it the de-tuned mode...who knows, but it is definately a different car !

The motor is the heart of any car. Without it, there is no car.

I will book the car as soon as I burned all the FLC remaining in the tank.

That's great news Frikkieh, glad to hear the car is turning over a new leaf

I hope the dealership sorts out the other issues for you and you don't have to suffer through this irritating run around again.

Glad to hear things are looking up! If possible, could you take some vids of these noises that you are hearing still? Mine has always had certain noises that from all the reading up that I have done is common, luckily it doesn't suffer from the metallic ticking noise, which can be quite loud and noticeable!!

Looks like all it needed was to be driven by some "spietkop", driving it like its his patrol car, on route to a rape in progress complaint.

Thanks guys - This car would have been gone today if it was not for you :ty:

@ Phillip - I took some vids, but my int bandwidth is capped. Uploading soon.
@ Coisman - Never drove a car that hard :praise:- I still have to clean up :roflol:
@ Sankekur - Yep, things are much better, thanks. It feels the difference between a horse cart and a 325i BMW.
@ Bayn46, Henry & LZ - Waves of change. I will try another dealership for round #3, and complain there and brag here

I must actually take a vid of the typical noises from mine, but they are so subtle that I doubt that the camera will be able to pick it up - will try though...

Glad to hear she's much better frikkie...

My car doesn't have time to get lazy.
At least once in the morning to work there's a private strip with almost no cars at 5:10 in the morning where she needs to show me she can still do it.

Please keep us updated on the progress with the new dealer.

I feel I will get shot if I don't answer this :roflol:

Now back to my so called "normal" driving the car smooth performance is 100%.
A booking for the engine tiktik and the AC condenser leak will happen next week.

The interior was given some TLC the weekend, but left the exterior for Friday before the Zwartkop meet - the rain pattern is just unpredictable at the moment.

Some @ss gave my car a parking dent on the left rear door
The car was parked in Kairo and this John Doe parked right next to me. Only noticed later during the week.
So it goes.

Big thanks to you guys saved me a loads of money that I would have lost if I did the trade in for the diesel. Especially Coisman that went out of his way to assist with the entire debacle. One signature and it was gone...

I was starting to think of it as a GREY product...

Perhaps I should plan a trip to CapeTown
