Small update on my car

Everytime I go to the city, I need/have to do something on my car.
So on monday I went to Mike @Tyreplus in Boksburg.
He fitted my new Koni shocks with new shock mounts. To make sure the car is sitting proper, a set of H&R springs was added as well.

To my surprise I had to add two new rear tyres, blame it on RK Peri Peri, jokes, I had a bubble on one of my tyres. So I added some AD08R's.

Then I had to add a little bit of performance as well. Thanks to everyone that helped me. Happened really quick. Decided 3o'clock wedensday afternoon that I need to go Hybrid turbo. So I dropped the car off at Marcel, he stripped the turbo out, dropped it of at Stallion Turbo where they did the flow, billet wheel upgrade and shaft balancing. So my turbo went from a 13t to a 16t with 56mm billet wheel. He then cleaned all my boost pipes, air inlet pype, serviced the car again with new oil and oil filter.

Car really pulls well at this stage. I still need to get it tuned by Keithan for the bigger wheel.
Hope to get this done when I go to Centurion again.

Overall I rate laat week fucking expensive but worth it

a few questionable points left out here?

1. The driver mod
2. The dyno run reults (not power but time)
3. The education you got
4. The videos of the burn out and launching
5. Pop Corn shifting?

just wondering where the rest of the events leading up to your decisions lol

1. Yes driver mod has been updated as well. He got lekker training by a good mate with a proper fast 330d.

2. My acceleration time on the dyno improved a lot. Came down from 7.7sec to 7.3sec. That was before the hybrid. Me and Slowflyer logged the car after the run and saw that its dropping boost with .6bar. So car was not performing in full potential. We adjusted my meth settings and now it's holding nicely.

3. That dyno sheets means fokol. Doesn't matter how much power you make, its how your power gets delivered! Maybe that's some good advice here? Don't know....

4. I forgot about the videos of my education runs. Heart is still a bit sore of how hard my car was driven by another man. :roflol: jokes buddy I will check and load some videos.

5. Ja popcorn in first gear, never knew it could do that. Never attempted it again though.

Oh ja, what lead me to my decision to do hybrid?

Buddy we all always want more and more, it's in our blood to modify so when i got a change to hybrid, I took the opportunity right away. RK Motion needs a strong gate keeper so that's also one of my reasons.

Slowflyer thanks for all your help with organising the hybrid for me.

Here is some videos.

Slowflyer launching the shit out of my car. Note that all these runs was done without the hybrid, stock suspension and normal tyres.

Small drive by

Hope you guys enjoy it.

Awesome thread. Been following quietly!

Nice to see the little brother diesel getting all this work and attention. Most of the guys normally put this much effort into the 30d's so this is actually quite refreshing!

I must admit, I too am so curious to see a dyno sheet once you've had the tune adjusted for the hybrid turbo!

Subbed

Yes i agree people go all out on the x30d. Mod for mod, best to go with a 330d. If i can tell you how many times i wanted to sell this car and buy a 330d you will laught. I just can't sell it. It's a very good looking colour, I've done a lot of work on it, to let it go.

Yeah same here. Very keen to see how the power graph will look. But im more corriuos of how it's going to pull on the road!
