Got my battery at bmw Lea Haese in Hatfield, don't know how far that is from you.

My car orig came from Leo Haese when new, but that's a bit far for me now, will try City or Bruma.

I put in a Raylite from Battery Center; cost was just over 1k, and they are top quality batteries. 1,350 for a battery from the dealership isn't to bad though.

My previous battery, the bmw one, was still the original from 2003, and I got the car in 2007, and have a 1400w amp and 12" sub fitted, so thats the main reason why I replaced it with the same battery as what was in there. Also at bmw you get a 2 year warantee on the battery.

You would have to negotiate that price. Actual price is like R1800 from BMW.

Eish, that makes more sense then. If you can get the discount, then it's worth it.

Battery Centre supplies BMW with the OEM units. Normal white virgin plastic with all the BMW stickers, etc.

I have a big a$$ battery in my car and paid R1500 from them. Stitch for stitch the same. Agents wanted R2017 for exactly the same battery. Warranty is still 2 years.

i wonder if my car is still on its 1st battery...

If your're really bored, you can open the panels and check for a date on the battery but I somehow have my doubts :=):

The oem battery is made by First National Batteries in East London . White virgin plastic is used for oem . Battery centre are a franchise that sells FNB products like Raylite , Exide etc .
Sometimes a mix of regrind plastic is used and these are what you normally buy over the counter .Start up of plastic injection machines makes short moulded cases and lids ,these are not thrown away !!
