Roof is easy to maintain.

Don't wash it with any pre wax based soap.

To get creases out moisten the roof, put a moist towel over the spot you want to decrease and with a iron on low temp gently work the area till the crease comes out.

And lastly invest in a few spray bottles.

Wash the roof with water only and with a soft abrasive sponge to get out all the dirt. The wash with the convertible safe washing stuff using a that same style of sponge. Let it then start to dry out.

Seal the roof with a UV sealing softtop protector using a spray bottle and the correct dilution. Leave it in the banking sun to dry out.

BMW SOFT TOP CARE KIT

Other options

I use the BMW one because i get a free bucket.... FRee lol. No just kidding less of a hastle to just drive to BMW and get one. Autoglym i used before BMW's one and it's very decent. Still use the sponge i got with the kit 5 years ago.

This is a ton of work but its going to be well worth it in the end. Progress here is great. That shape is timeless though and those lights look so awesome with the silver inside!

Looking forward to more updates! :praise:

Wow that poor car was hacked to hell and back.

Did you fit the Bilsteins or was it the one thing the previous owner did right?

Unfortunately it had a lot of work to be done. But we getting there slowly but surely. Gizmos has been fantastic so far in getting it back on track.

The shocks I had to have it done after I bought the car. Got it from Shaun @axis engineered on the forum.

Interesting, the plastic bracket on the fender looks very different on my 330i vs 330ci... Then again it also changed on my sedan from the pre-lci to lci.

That said, woah your car have a lot of dust in the engine bay ect. I drove my car once on a dirt road and couldn't handle it, 1st thing I did was to wash the car when back home. I removed all the strips ect so that I could get in everywhere where the dust did (and I am sure I missed some still).

So this is my first build thread. Have not really been active on the forum since my introduction thread when i initially posted about the car. https://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=77154

Was planning to sell the car coz of my personal situation that i was in but my brother convinced me to keep the car and get it fixed properly. So this month got the car to gizmo and will hopefully post the updates on this thread as work is being done.

Hi guys. To those who feel i'm wasting their time, I'm sorry. I found this link online to make extra cash and I thought to share and to see if it actually works... Follow the link:
