My E36 M3 dyno graph @ KAR 29/09/2012

So i met with my opel mates for their dyno day at KAR. I'm quite happy with the results.

Mods: DIY intake with the stock airbox (De-restricted) and k&n airfilter
Decat

Soon to come: Chiplogic software.

I just want to thank O.B from chiplogic for sorting out a few problems that i had with the car. The car now performs like an M3 should :praise:

For the drop in power between 3000rpm and 3500rpm is balancers not in the exhaust setup.

Nice power

Thanks guys!

@ ///Shaun, Its still has the stock exhaust. The decat was done before i bought the car so i have no idea what these balances look like :fencelook:

When the remove the cats. It needs to be two 400m long boxes with balancers in front of the box and in the back of the box. Its bascially a piece of piping that joins the left exhaust and right exhaust. Gases exchange that create that torque you will need.

Also known as xpipe

Hope this makes sense

The cats were not replaced with boxes, it was replaced with straight pieces of pipes. When i do the complete exhaust i will keep that in mind. Thanks ///Shaun

Are you in jhb. If yes go to xcede performance center they will be able to sort it out.

I'm in centurion. Will they do just the Xpipe?

If you dyno run again get the operator to floor it earlier and that dip will look totally different. Its caused by a Vanos adjustment.

Yep they can

@George , imo vanos adjustments aint gonna fix that dip , maybe slightly better but not what it should be doing. I have seen lots of Ms like above and seen majority been resolved with xpipe. Well thats just my opinion.

Maybe read what I wrote again. I am not saying someone should adjust the vanos I am saying to run it from lower revs and see what happens to the dip.

So what you saying is, if floored earlier, the vanos will adjust itself earlier causing that dip to go away?

I'm really excited to see what the power gains will be after the remap because im currently running a dead stock map on my car. :joy:
