Good to know that there was antifreeze in there to prevent the rusting etc.

I would be pretty scared, with regards to rubbers (getting perished with age) as well as piping and small hoses and old grease in the cv joints etc.

But im sure you will replace items as problems arise.

Personally I think people make too much of rubbers perishing and shocks collapsing, seals cracking etc if a car has been standing for a long period.
If it is garaged properly in a decent climate chances are good that those things would still be fine.
I think the chances of rubbers perishing, being exposed to engine heat on a daily basis are better than those on a car that has been standing garaged properly.

I also own a 1980 Colt Galant with 24000km on the clock. I seldom drive it and it is garaged properly. All seals and rubbers on that car is original and in perfect order. I am sure that if it was used a a daily driver all these parts would have had to be replaced long time ago?
