MSM - Thanks bud. Call Allistair - 0824174480, tell him Arbee gave you the number. He says, complete branch and exhaust is around R7000. Well worth it...

Let me know if anyone else is interested in software also. Sherwin might be willing to do group discount. Its already 2 cars from bmw fanatics that we know off (mine and my BIL's M).

So, i have done more than the 300km adaption miles and my god, it feels totally responsive. Even in 6th, the revs climb smooth and speed increases a lot faster than before.

I have only done branch and software, sending it in for exhaust this week sometime as my rear box has a vibration, it was always there just hardly heard it but now with the increase in pressure due to the branch, its quite an irritation rasp. Will be doing a full stainless steel exhaust with 4 boxes, 2 small ones (where the exhaust cats use to be) and the other 2 boxes.

Personally, stage one is a must for 330i's.

And on todays Menu we have 50mm piping

4 exhaust boxes
IMG00077-20110407-1327.jpg

2 small round ones to replace the (already removed) exhaust cats
1 medium size for the center
1 large rear box
Tail Pipes - Leaving the current ones on until i get the 135i ones i ordered.

According to the experts at powerflow, this will be the best setup for a good quiet system. (I will take there word for it as my bru in laws M3's wkw increased by 11wkw just from the exhaust they setup)

Both the cars at Powerflow/Xcede

Shot bru. Yep, the pipes they put on the M really pick up the rear. Those tails dont fit in the gap on my car :hammerhead:

Yes, 50mm piping, cos its double all the way.

Exhaust is done. It sound a little louder than stock on idle and even quieter than stock through the revs. I love it...

Plus, it makes power...

Last week i bought kidney grilles from Andrew, they had a slight crack on them which my PB sorted and sprayed in a Deep Black for me. Deep black is the color of the trimming on my car.

I did not want to go black on the kidneys but this came in cheap and i have my original grilles so i can change back if needed. However, if i like the look i will be doing a few other bits in deep black.

Pics of the grilles (Sorry, BB pics)

I will fit them on this evening and add some pics tomorrow.

The stock system has 50mm piping so why not just cut the stock boxes out and replace them with your boxes? They are bent the correct way already.
You should have gone dual 57mm.:slap:

I was told by a techie at BMW that the stock system is less than 50mm, he was sure its less than 50mm but not sure whether it was 42mm.

Anyways, the bends Powerflow did are the same as stock but in 50mm stainless steel. The stock pipes are mild steel.

Didnt want to go 57mm cos of increase in tone. Need to be quiet.

Grilles fitted... Need to take the car out the basement for better pics.

Again, sorry for the BB pics!

So over the public holidays, i made way to Durban to spend time with friends and family.

The drive down on Friday was hectic, 10km traffic at each toll. I decided to stop at a friends place in Harrismith for lunch. Best idea, left there at 4pm to find the roads empty.

I averaged 9.7l/100km on the way down due to the heavy traffic.

Got back on the 2nd, very little traffic, much more flow than the trip down. I got 8.3l/100km. In comparison to before Branch, Exhaust and Software, my previous trip down was a lot less but there was no traffic, the previous trip back from the coast was 8.7l/100km so we got a drop of .5l/100km which is good considering this time i was fully loaded. I still had just below half tank when got home.
IMG00129-20110502-1544.jpg

Then, while in DBN i got a HID kit fitted to the headlights, i went 6000k on them. Much better, huge difference. Also, not blinding to oncoming cars, i had them focused low to avoid that.

The fogs already had a 5100k kit on them hence more white than the headlights.

Busy sorting the focus

I have those xenon match globes in the brights, they are the blue globes hence giving the bowl a blue tinge, matches the car...

Detail Update:

The interior was annoying me, the Cream Nappa Leather was looking a light shade of brown and the Cream Carpets where dirty. The last time the car was valeted was almost 2 years ago when i got it so it was about time...

Exterior was ok, always washed at Xtreme and cared for using great products and technique. However, even though she is liquid detailed at her once a week wash and one step polished at-least once every 2 months the annoying swirls where re-appearing. My trip to Durban brought out the swirls a lot more as i used a car wash which did not understand the reason behind a proper sponge and drying cloths. The Sepia Metallic really shows the swirls!

On Monday i left my car at Xtreme Car Wash and Valet Center for a well deserved and overdue Valet and Paint renovation. Shailen used his products which i have no doubt about are the best...

The car wash washed, clayed, 3 stepped, engine bay washed and cleaned and interior deep cycle washed and vacuumed. Leather was cleaned and treated with leather care... (im not mentioning names of chemicals as there was a few used)
Wheels where polished with a secret polish which really makes the wheels bling...

I am very happy with the job done by Shailen and his team at Xtreme, however, Shailen is not happy and is going to re-visit the swirls with some aggression. He says he can still see them but i can't...

Pic: (Will update pics once Shailen is happy)
These are the PHONE CAMERA pics of the Seats which i have, the rest are on the camera which i forgot at home today...
