Still enjoying it, actually just back from a late night drive now. It remains a special car, the sound and the general driving sensation of rawness and maybe even at touch of violence is just visceral and exciting.
I can't see myself letting it go, any time soon at least.

Since then I've had the car paint corrected. I know literally 0 about car paint protection, but I think it did turn out nicely, these are cellphone camera shots that I took. It feels smooth and quality to the touch so I'm pretty happy. Work was done by auto velvet, a couple of guys from CPT trying to set themselves up. They're working out of their garage, so it isn't some high end place. But the price was decent and the work seems good. The say this ceramic coat lasts 5yrs, I suspect if it pulls through for even half of that it'll be good.
Going forward I'm sorting out the long term niggles the car has had given that I have a lot more cash now than when I first got the car. Next up is to sort the interior, I'm not sure whether to go with a wrap or a hydrodip. If anyone has a place they trust in CPT I can contact, please drop a number I can call. Would like to just get it all wrapped, most likely in some carbon look. Might then also do the kidney grilles in a similar sort of covering/dip just to have a consistent carbon style on it.
After that I'll probably be listing the car for sale in the next few months. I drive it very seldom now, it pretty much goes out every 2nd/3rd week for a little 100-200km drive to a few wine farms and back. Since Feb I've done around 1700km or so.
All in all, looking back now having had the car for a fair period I think these are really quite special. I'm yet to drive or even sit in anything that makes you feel the way this car does, from an acceleration and steering feel perspective. I'll post a proper "FOR SALE" when the time comes
Some obligatory pics:

And of course it'll cover the pitting in the metal that is there currently (and I assume it's a bit cheaper than doing it all in leather!)

Ive had both Vinyl and Alcantara, the Vinyl is best bang for buck, looks good and a fraction of the cost than alcantara. especially if a good quality vinyl like KNS used when they did mine, was nice and thick and looked perfect after 2 years, when I traded in the car I asked the salesman if I should remove it and he said no I should leave it.

I'm assuming you're based in JHB?
No CPT suggestions for a place that can wrap interior in CPT? I saw that dutchmanns car clinic at the archive does it. But they didn't return my call...
Can't wait to see itSome updates on this (now nearly 2 yr old!) thread.
Have gotten the centre console (the metallic area around the gearknob/hand brake) covered in leather (should hide the pitting) and the ZHP gearknob as well. Finally got all the damaged plastic touchpoints (on the steering/window switches etc.) resprayed.
Should be ready early next week and will post pics of (hopefully) good quality work!
As promised! Short drive home after work (left early to collect the car), throw on the ZHP knob definitely will take some getting used to (and some *very* careful 2-3 shifts to not shove it into 1st!).Can't wait to see it![]()
