So, as mentioned before regarding personal priorities for the year, things have changed and I may need to put the car up for sale in the coming weeks.. Just grappling with the decision at the moment because of all the effort and resources I have put into the car.

As is almost always the case, property>cars and with my priorities rapidly changing since this purchase, I need to make a sound choice that takes into account the future.. Something about short term sacrifice for long term benefit, at least that's how I am rationalizing it.. :blueCry:

Good choice keeping the 330i!

Riaad would be all over you :p

It was actually my recommendation that he keeps that gem of a 330i :=):
Respect. He definitely can find another 335 again in the future, but at the current rate of 330s, doubt it.

Got together with the KZN gents yesterday and snapped a few new pics at the (prospective) buyer's request.

Just thought I would put them up here..

And so, the journey has come to an end with my N54 335i. Owned for just under a year and covered almost 10k in mileage, during my ownership. The N54 motor itself is unlike anything I've experienced prior, including the N55. The N54 x35's are expensive to maintain, but very rewarding when running well and I have no regrets about my choice in motor.

I would love to own another but I have my eyes set on an F30 in the future. As much as I enjoyed the E90, I always felt the handling prowess and feedback is better in the E46. Outright handling at the limit may see the E90 come out on top but the overall driving experience in the E46 still ranks higher, to me. After driving my dad's F30 for a while, I really appreciated the level of feedback and feel of the car, as compared to the E90.

The car was sold to a middle-aged gentleman, that is as fanatical about keeping the car in this condition, as I was. He had an LCI E90 320d that he wanted to replace with the 335i, in the exact same spec. I snapped a few pics of the car prior to it leaving my possession:

The car drove 1200km to P.E with the new owner and he snapped a pic of the fuel consumption on the way home, he was rather impressed:

A picture he sent me this morning of the car washed, post his 12 hour drive last night. Suffice to say he is ecstatic with the car:

I will miss this car immensely but sometimes its prudent to think with our heads and not our hearts. I have asked him to register on here and keep the car in the fanatics circle. That's it from me

I see this car is for sale again by the new owner...

@M135i, what a thread bump, thanks.

Yep, spoke to him when it first advertised sometime last year. His wife lost her job shortly after this purchase and they needed to "down-scale", as he doesn't have a job either... :tiptoe: Would've bought it back, if I didn't already put the money into a property, miss this car a lot.

Terrible to hear :thumbdo:
Hope things start looking up for him now in 2019 and he gets to keep it.
