Mods continue as i get a break from work

Fitted side sill extension
Maxton rear diffuser with side extension
Atom 2 intake
One of my friends gave me his tmss downpipe

Must say that downpipe and intake really made a good change to the power delivery even on stock software.

Some random pics taken by @rishie....

Next on the list:

Full exhaust, one of my friends was kind enough to make me a full system. I just need to make a plan to get it up. Exhaust still needs to be polished. Some pics he sent me:

Still deciding what bootspoiler to fit

Decided to go the JB4 route due to warranty. While the gains are not as good as doing a file i rather play it safe. Still need to fit.

Lastly will be a set of H&R springs.

Thanks for looking :smilebounce:

Epic photo goodness. Where is this parking garage?

Hi guys,

So after starting a new job that has gotten very demanding i decided to sell up the 335i and the Golf 5 GTI and get one car to run around with daily and have abit of fun in the process.

After viewing a few options i decided to go for a Golf 7R.

Was lucky enough to get a December 2017 model that has already gotten the revised parts.

Car is white and packed with some good extras and has extended warranty till 120k km until 2022.

Options listed are:
Keyless start and keyless entry
Push start
Panoramic roof
Dynaudio Entertainment system
PDC with reverse camera
DCC suspension
19" Pretoria wheels

Really enjoying the car so far. Has a great feel and very comfortable.

Personal Opinion:

Build Quality is amazing. You feel it by simply closing on the doors.
When you sit inside its not cheap. I dont like the gloss back trim. It shows scratch's easily and finger prints. I keep a mirco fiber cloth on the car and i wipe it down every 2 days as it annoys me.

Ride quality with the DCC suspension is brilliant. Soft and comfy on a long trip and can set it to hard for the track.

Car feels like a go cart in Race Mode. You feel very confident throwing it into a bend and accelerating out.

The seats are not as sporty as a BMW and on a tight bend you tend to move all over the place.

As much as i feel that this is much better quality in terms of feel than the e90/e82 i think its unfair to compare as they are not in the same era. I would compare it to the f30/f22 range.

The optional extras on the golf well priced and most of the new cars when sold came with these options so its a bonus on the 2nd hand Market.

That being said, its very boring in stock form and purely from an enjoyment factor i would choose the 335i/135i.

The Golf is a great daily which can be used as a fun track car if needed but can be abit thirsty for a 2.0L.

Each to their own i think its an epic car......I hated VW until i decided to try this car out and it always surprises me. Makes me smile everyday and i think thats all that maters.

The attention these cars get might not be for everyone. It does get annoying sometimes.

Ran the car at Tarlton Friday night in October.
Track was dusty and traction not that great but managed a best of 12.6

Nothing new done yet :skit: apart from Carbon mirrors and red stop start
