Hi all,

Starting a new thread as the other one dissapeared with the forum maintenance...

So this is my new car, many of you will know this car as Dax's old car. I fell in love with this car 2 years ago the day I met Dax. Been wanting it ever since. The time has come and I finally made it mine

Its a 2015 F30 LCI 330d Performance Edt - to my knowledge there werent many Performance Edt 330d's produced. This car has ppk2 and.... lets just say I wouldnt have to spend a cent on it for atleast a year... The car is in excellent condition, big ups to Dax for keeping it this neat!

Here are some pics, I love this car more and more everyday!

Hi all

Time for an update... Mods was at a stand still since November last year, mostly due to me taking a break, and then Rona hit us... anyway about a month ago the itch started again... First up I finally got M Performance Blackline Tail Lights. Then we had the bars behind the grills done in silver... This wasnt enough for me though as I drastically wanted to change the look of the car completely (sort of), so I went for a satin silver on the rims. Loving this look and will probably be keeping it this way for a while, I like it alot more than the black wheels. It's marmite I know, many people hate silver wheels... but this Satin silver looks amazing! Some pics.

Well well well....

Finally you scratched an itch and bettered the car...I honestly thought nothing more could be done with the rim colour change and that tails look perfect!

Well done bud!

This looks perfect, same reason I also changed my rims color from black to silver, just makes the wheel look better and bigger.

Looks awesome, the headlights seems to be asking for modding now.... :)

Thanks Sash - The lights had laminex on but I removed it as it started looking a bit faded... Will probably rock this clean look for now...

Damn it has been a while, I think it's time for a update here...

Lets start: 3-4 Months in with the silver wheels, which I do agree looked fantastic, but unfortunately me being me my OCD couldn't stand these wheels being dirty 24/7. You can wash it and drive for one day and bam, full of brake dust. This is mainly due to the Blue M Sport brake kit on the car, they generate a lot of brake dust, but they are fantastic and I wouldn't change them for anything. So I decided to have the wheels sprayed again but this time in a very glossy black. Difficult to capture on photos, but black wheels being black wheels the car looked the same as before.

Next up - The M Performance decals on the side skirt has had it's days, it's been scratched from getting in and out of the car. I removed them with the intention of having them replaced, however once I removed them I loved the clean look without them and left it like that. Here is a very average pic with the gloss black wheels covered in brake dust again :cautious: and the decals removed:

After this, a lot has happened in my life in between. Got engaged, bought a house, saving for the wedding which happened March this year etc.... I didn't give the car much attention in this time for obvious reasons. However about 10 months after these wheels were redone in gloss black, exactly a year ago, I wanted something different and was given the opportunity to try out a set of M Performance 405M wheels (reps) which was gathering dust in a friends garage. To be honest, I wasn't sure if I would like these, but I wanted something else and had to give it a go. I ended up trading my old wheels for these as I really loved the OEM M Performance look, it really tied in well with the car seeing that it is a M Performance edt.

Shortly after this I decided to remove the dual slat kidney grills and revert back to the OEM single slat black grills which came with the car. I feel it just suited this car better :)

This is the current state of the car. In between I had to do the usual maintenance: oil service every 10k km, New OEM M Sport brake pads front and back. I also needed new tires all around, and after having and experiencing these Michelin PS4 S's I couldn't have anything else, so new set all around :)

I would also like to add, the car is still running the same stage 2 file done by Xcede Performance in 2018. I have had no issues and really enjoy the setup daily. At this point I wont change a thing, as I have learnt with my previous car, if something works for you don't touch it. This would probably be the car I will keep for a couple of years still, as I really still love this thing after 3 plus years of ownership and I honestly don't know what I would replace it with in the current price market. I would rather get something more practical (SUV) for the wife.
