Rick is a Legend. That pretty much sums it up.

His M5 at almost any price was a bargain. The car is a living testament to the amount of research and work he has invested into it.

His knowledge is overwhelming and it is an honor knowing him and owning something he cared for so much.

Leonard also has experience with these motors, between them you should have a good idea of what to expect, do's and dont's.

Rick most definitely has the requisite skills, knowledge and experience. However he is extremely busy with work - so he might take a while to respond.

I have no problem waiting for Rick.
Must see the latest issue i had with the workshop that was working on the car, it was a joke what they did and the excuse they had for what they did.
I will have patience for Rick so that this kind of thing never happens again, i only want someone with a true passion for BMW's and these cars to help me and work on my car.

Some new parts for my ride.

When I first got the car I replaced the tie rod ends with parts from Midas as they really needed to be done and I didn't have spare cash at the time.
It hasn't been 2 years yet and they already need to be replaced so ordered complete tie rod assemblies made by Meyle in Germany.
Decided to get the pitman arm and the tie rod centre as well.

Then I forgot to post the pic of the 3.0L M3 exhaust headers I got at a good price when I made the original thread so here it is

They haven't been fitted yet but once I get the engine redone ill have them fitted.

Good job getting S50 headers. Wonder why they where modified though.

Im not sure why, it was used on a e36 with a 325i motor so i dont see why it was needed.
Wasn't a bad price so i took them, thinking of getting the S50 throttles from the guy as well for 2.5k and they look to be in good condition.

Its been a while since I have posted any updates on the car.
I have done a few small things like bonnet dampers and the car also went to the workshop for some issues, leaking clutch slave cylinder, brake fluid reservoir seals, lower timing chain tensioner replaced as well as the broken rear tail light was replaced.
I previously mentioned that the car had a problem with smoking after driving for about 10 minutes after the engine reached operating temperature.
I thought I would need to rebuild or replace the engine but what I had done this past weekend sorted that problem out so I'm really happy.
Not all the photos would upload, below is what I managed to get uploaded.
Pro-Fit exhausts did an awesome job and I would recommend them to anyone.
Really getting to enjoy the car now that it doesn't smoke and I don't smell like an exhaust pipe after a short trip.

The time has finally come, the body is finally getting sorted out.
Will post more pics as the shop progresses with the car.
Front will be changing to wide grill and bonnet and the motorsport bumper will be changed to a standard bumper with the 540i brake ducts.

Interesting exhaust set up how does she sound?

Sounds really good, I asked them not to sacrifice performance for sound but still set off a car alarm or 2 especially when in undercover parking.

Awesome cars, i got it in really bad condition and all the work i'm doing is the result of lack of maintenance and people working on the car that don't know what they are doing or do things cheap.
