I admire people who tackle these kinds of projects!
Good luck

How hard are spares to come by and is your objective to get it very close to original?

If it was not for contacts and the power of the internet, i would not do it.

A good network of contacts is seriously important with something like this in my opinion.

Going to try and stay original with the old girl.

I am not sure about the exterior colour of the car, but one this is for certain:

The interior will be black.

Goes without saying, an original colour that these cars were at the time, but this does look awesome!!

What other colours were they available in?

but another colour to consider is Inca Orange. :bravo::inlove::thumbs:

I would rather go for Colorado Orange if you have to change the colour, Inka was not available before 1971. Colorado was from 1968-1970

within the next two weeks.

Car will be in my garage for a few weeks before she goes off to the panelbeater.

First need to access and decide on a plan of action.

Not sure what area you stay in, but Hamptons Classic Cars in Randburg have a stunning Inca Orange on their floor if you want to just see it in person! The interior has been restored in black leather. VERY NICE.

GOOD LUCK ! ! !

Lol.

My next two or three weeks is going to be crazy hectic.

Along with the car coming, we are waiting for the birth of my son.

I get the sneaky suspicion he is coming in the next two weeks or so.

A braai will unfortunately have to wait.
