Congrats! And good luck with the project.

BTW. I quite like the original colour. I'll see if I can dig up a post of a concurs prep we did for a 2002 ....

Congrats jandre.... It will make a great classics race car :fencelook:

no a classic like that must be restored to original

YES PLEASE!!!!!! Unless it costs too much to restore, it has to be original!

Although I do like some period mods and rare BMW catalog options...

I love nevada! It is one of the best looking classic colours IMO!
Like this car with period correct AND BMW option Borrani 13" steel wheels!

The metal restoration can be done cheap if you have lots of time, want to learn how to weld properly and have a few hammers. Its really not as hard as people make it out to be, its fun and almost free. But time is the deciding factor. If you want to go this route let me know, I will point you to some good resources. (I do most things myself, its more fun for me)

Restoring a car is supposed to be fun, if you plan, it will be. If you don't, it won't.

Wow, Jandre, now this is an exciting undertaking. Many, many congrats, and wishing you many happy hours restoring the old lady. I know it's early days, but another colour to consider is Inca Orange. :bravo::inlove::thumbs:

I would rather go for Colorado Orange if you have to change the colour, Inka was not available before 1971. Colorado was from 1968-1970

But I still vote Nevada!

I am not sure about the exterior colour of the car, but one this is for certain:

The interior will be black.

have fun, on my second one, and its addictive...one suggestion on the sequence....do the interior last, when everybody else has finished working on the car, if you don't you might regret it.
Thinking I might just might still have a original manual for you.
