This is what happens when another car fails to stop at a stop street.

Now insurance say its a write off

If I had 40k, I could salvage this

And if that wasn't bad enough, Outsurance appoint SIAS to interrogate me and my claim...

I just lost my baby

:argh:

Eish, sorry bru :thumbdo:

Damage does not look enough to warrant a write-off though...

Bad news bud .
If you want to keep the car and have it fixed then you can ask the insurance what value they pay out .
You may be able to buy the car from them , if they pay say R40 K then you may buy it for say 20 % , so if they pay 80% of R40K then you get R32K and the car .
Leonard may fix it for less than R20K , so a few bucks for some tlc or mods .
Good luck .

Thanks, I've been really struggling on this decision as well. I'm just worried if it would end up costing me much more with costs I'm unaware of.

Once I sort out this investigation on the claim, I'll inquire the costs of buying the vehicle back.

I've put so much sweat, cash and upgrades into my dolphin that its already hard to just let it go.

+ 1000

Agree with the above comments, even if it is a write-off.... buy it back. From what I can see, there a bit of structural damage in the front, but nothing serious. You'll need a fender, bumper, grill, headlights, foglamps & probably a bonnet.

Hope everything works out for you bud...

Where about are you bud? Who is your insurance with? Where is the car now?

Sorry bud, I just saw you are insured by Outsurance. OUCH
I was gonna get someone to come out and see the car and maybe save it for you but we don't deal with Outsurance and cash deals.
Not my company and its just company rules.

Your best bet is to get a Panel Beater out to have a look at the car and give you a quote as to what the damage is so you know exactly what you will be getting yourself into if you decide to buy the car back.

Good luck bud. PM me if you need any advice.
