Everything above.

Motorplan suspended, comment made.

You can get a quote from BMW to return the car to factory if you do not have the original plumbing.

You can also ask them to re program the car whereby any custom software will be overwritten.

May cost you like R4,500 or something including motor-plan reinstatement, just guessing.

I have recently done a repair on an written off E90, customer did not want to let the car go as it was minimal.

Suspension, bumper, airbags ect.

Bought all original parts, replaced, had the dealer code the new airbag control module, and motorplan re-instated

the car you restored - it's MP was not voided due to "naughty" behaviour :fencelook:

wonder if its viewed differently?

Yep you have to return the car to stock then they do another 20 point check similar to when you transfer plan onto your name and it gets re-instated. We had a 7 day window to do this.

Oh ya and there's a comment on plan, just taints the car's history when selling.

[/b] maybe I misunderstood. having a rethink, are they assessing the car to see that its stock or do they take it a step further to see if there was any harm caused by the mods? If its the latter, then there is a chance of the MP remaining void, in which case, who pays for the assessment? If not, I take all i said back and then your argument makes perfect sense

Highly doubt they will take a step further to see if there are any harm caused by the mods, but I guess never say never:nonono: I mean that's give an example: car is change it back to stock, but few thousand km's later the turbo blew, can BMW say it was because of the dp? But when the car had the dp and change it back to stock, the turbo was fine:dunno:

I guess if there is a comment on it, I wouldn't be so surprise if BMW brings it back up later and say that was the cause of the problem:yuck:

promise not to harp on too much more on the matter, but why worry about modding your car when you can have it reinstated at a mere R2500 should you be caught?

makes no sense to me :sorry:

i think it goes further. I bet the comments added by BMW to the MP void any claims for damages to the car that may related to the modifications made :dunno:

ok, so are we saying that if the MP is still void, there is no charge from BMW? Well, what will the reason(s) being for not reinstated the MP? Because they don't know what future damages will be? If that's the case there's no point in asking the owner to change everything back to stock and take his or her money right?

or are we saying that BMW will return the car to stock? (it sounded like BMW were saying that you can return the car to stock before they assess it). That's what I thought? no:fencelook:

Come AdamH, enlighten us here :roflol:

BMW SA told me the car should be returned to stock before the test is conducted at Your own costs.

The test on top of that will be R2500.00 to ensure everything is back to normal and then if the car passes, MP will be re-instated.
