Hi guys,

planning to sell my 2006 330d in the next few weeks,my motorplan is about to expire (1month) and the next service is due in 3500km (currently on 90,000km).

how early can I take it in for a service? I only do a few hundred km per month so will never get the 3500km by then.

I want to get the last service in so the next owner gets an extra 15000km before they need to service it.

If I can, what else can I ask them to check (besides the regular items, brakes etc) before she goes off motorplan?

Anybody interested, 2006, 330d,silver, manual, sportspack, 90100km, JHB, currently under motorplan.

pm if you interested,

cheers

Unless its an Inspection 2, then it's worth getting it done under motorplan....

Rather sell with the service done bud, give you more leverage when negotiating

1500km for me in less than a month is a bit tricky:) but it could save some $$ for the next owner

Ok gents, I'll try post some pics tomorrow, here goes:

-2006, 330d - sportspack - silver - manual
-90100km
-motorplan until june (i have extended twice)
-has a mark on motorplan
drove over over a bag on the highway during all the roadworks, which happened to have rocks/bricks in it! anyway, g/box ended up with a hairline crack, BMW ARC replaced g/box & exhaust at about 50,000km.
-currently has FRC software
-needs 2 back tires (I will replace this weekend)
-slight damage on front bumper, happened in a parking lot (quoted R1200 - R1500 to sort)
-been driven well, never abused, well looked after.
-never been in BMW for any issues besides the above and standard services.
-R160,000
-JHB,Alberton

let me know if you keen - 082 578 0839,

cheers

i am off to Durban this weekend , can put on 1300 km for you :)

Seriously though, as much as the service might not cost alot, there are lots of people that want to buy a car and not worry about spending extra dosh so soon after purchase. Personally i think the service will help your sale. Join us on one the midnight runs, my service indicator comes down after that.

If it's an oil change, I'd rather sell it with a lower mileage and give a few rands off the price for servicing.

midnight, eish I'm k.o by then! :)

I guess it depends on the buyer? I'll see what happens, perhaps I may take a driver to see some customers,

here are some pics for those of you interested, car was dirty this morning, drove on a dirt road as you can see,
