Motorplan Extension

Good day

My 2011 E90 325i is currently on 57000 km. I phoned BMW trying to obtain a quote on motorplan extension and was told it is too soon to extend. Apparently I can only extend at 70000 km or with 6 months left before expiry of current plan. Am I being fed lies or is this a fact?

I heard people saying they extended at 30000km/40000km etc, and that the sooner you extend the cheaper it becomes?

Regards

I have also heard that you can only extend once its close to expiring.

Yip it's correct, needs to be within 6 months of expiry or over 80000km.

Had the exact same response a week ago. Drive a 2010 320d with 57,848km. Told me to request a quote again in September.

At the moment I'm thinking of either selling her, or keeping her.
Gonna be a very sad day when I do sell. (I love this car, but like they say, money talks.)

Thanks gents for the responses.

@xcalibur looking at the current new car prices, I am not letting this one go anytime soon.

Hi guys, I want to find out whether its worth extending the motor plan? I currently drive a 2011 E90 330d. The mechanics say one thing but I have been in trouble once. Looking at the pricing for extension, for 10 000kms, R13450.59. :cartel:

I have a 2011 330d and honestly nothing has given up on the car *touch wood*

Only things i have replaced is tie rod ends and gearbox service which is not covered by motorplan anyway.

Sadly the things that normally give up are the vibration dampener pulleys, injectors and gearbox issues happens very late in the cars life and generally after 170k km odd.

I am on 110k km now
