Hi Fanatics

Is anyone using Mororite maintenance plan ? How good is it & what is your experience ? Is there any other after market warranties/plans worth looking at ?

I got quoted around 23k /40000km for 2 years.

Hoping someone can share info on their recent experiences

Thanks in advance

Hi,

My advice is to ask your dealer (where you get your car serviced) how is their relationship with Motorite.
From past experience, I know that each dealer has its own view or relationship towards aftermarket warranty providers.

In addition to @"MR_Y" which is very important

ask for a detailed breakdown of what is covered and what is not. They differ from brand to brand and amount of cover. When I got mine covered I did a spreadsheet to compare what was covered and the amounts and then chose what was more important to me in terms of items.

When doing the above check what the common faults are with owning the car out of plan and make those your priority for cover.

My warranty with Motorite just expired after 2years. They never paid a claim in full, I always had to pay a small shortfall.

I find motorite has way too much red tape and always will try their hardest not to pay or end up paying but you have to pay the shortfall ...I use innovation group and never a days hassle takes like a day to get authorization... also they allow you to use agents or rmi ...and it depends under which category your car falls under so the later the model the more u covered the older the car is the less u covered

I use General Risk Administrators SA. They paid the full R5.5k for turbo solenoid replacement for my Volvo at a Volvo dealer. The approval was same day.

I paid R10.5k upfront for 2 year cover unlimited km.

Granted I only had one claim but they left a very good first impression

I've had very similar experiences with Motorite and Innovation Group.
