Only replaced the battery and had a starting problem once that was a loose fuse in the fuse box pushed it back in and all was fine
Got the hastory from bmw and it only had the wheel alighment done once when the steering wheel was off center
Only thing I have found myself was the sound deadning matirial on the inside of. The plastic engen cover has decintegrated and turned to dust

Still on original turbo?

Oh yes, original turbo, the car is still really responsive. The only issue I have with it is the steering seems a bit loose but its not really, I think I am just used to my E90. Everywhere i take it they say the car is strong.

We have been through 3 gearboxes however, all have been refurbished.

Is it true that they used a GM gearbox in those cars?

Just had a full service done on the car, shit it feels like 100 times better. And got new tyres put on. Damn runflats are expensive. Can bmw not just make a space in the boot. Jeez.

@Soloman it is an auto which is why the gearbox has packed up 2 times. It is also sticking when i try switch it back to normal drive from sports. I dont know what this means. Beside the gear box we havent needed to replace anything else. Me and my brother are going to give it a respray when he comes down from the states, as some rust is building in places as we live by the coast.

Also when i went to get my wheel alignment done at supa quick in knysna they said they cant do it as the cams are at an angle or some shit, but he told me to go to wheels in george. So i took it there as they have one of those 3d machines, they did the alignment and I asked the guy, he said the sports suspension is like that and they are already at maximum extension or something, but he can bend the cams for me. Apparently it gives better handling at high speeds but it burns the insides of the tyres more....

Oh and up untill probably about 200 000kms the stealership in george did it Lyn Schrouder or something. Then between knysna motor strippers and a bmw mechanic in george Kobus Mouton, highly recommend him took the car there just the other week. Car feels 1000 times better =) I think it was time she needed a service as I'm only using the car since my E90 was written off -.-

Since I've had her (Feb 2012 @ 52 000km) nothing has gone wrong.
There were a couple of items on the service history, but nothing that prevented me from buying her.
Something solenoid is pretty much all I can remember.
