Hi all
I drive a 2012, 520d. At approximately 75000 km I took my car in for a service. At the time the car was a few 100km away from requiring an oil service . However the dealership did not want to do the oil service since the service light had not been activated as per CBM. Anyway since my wife has been driving the car we didnt realize that the oil service was overdue. Its currently overdue by -2300km (car mileage just over 80 000km).
I contacted the dealership to make the booking and they have indicated that since the mileage is over the allowed limit they have to suspend the motorplan. I also checked the car myself and noticed that the service light didn't come on as it normally does when the car is started up. Only the vehicle settings on the i-drive is indicating red for oil service. Not sure if this is a problem but not willing to take the risk of a suspended motorplan.
Can anyone provide advice on how to deal with this matter? Is there anything I can do to have the light reset before I take it in for a service ?
Your advice will appreciated.
