Where's the best place to service and maintain Mini's out of MP. Considering an older model (R53 Cooper S), but would like to find out about any potential issues from guys who have experience working with these cars. Would also like them to check out the car before/after I purchase.

Midrand/Centurion and surrounding areas would be preferred .... normally take my other BM's to Tunetech, but it's becoming a bit inconvenient now that I work in Centurion and need to find someone closer if I get the Mini.

Also need someone with experience in chipping the Mini's and doing some basic performance mods.

Read on the CIA website that Van Der Linde did an upgrade to their Cooper S, they were very impressed with the price and performance.

I have a 2002 R53 Cooper S out MP. I bought it on 89k and its now on 125K. I service and maintain myself so it does not cost an arm and a leg just the arm. :lol:

If buying out of MP just make sure that the SC is still healthy. Also check the Water reservoir. The are known to leak. I had to have mine replaced.

You wont go wrong with MC S. Its great fun car to drive !

You right. You cant compare an ///M car to a Mini. Different class. ///M cars will always be a benchmark.

The MC S is a very different car. The sound of the SC screaming is just brilliant. The Go Kart feel you get when conering. That said, still nowhere close to the tone and sideways action of an iS. :dropjaw:

I know. everytime i get into the drivers seat of Sings ///M I get this grin on my face. He knows we are going sideways.

Thats why my wife is so against me getting one ! :lol:
