Mini Clubman S - Hmmm

I just dont know...

Good Bits:

- Zero understeer. :excited:
- Almost no torque steer. :excited:
- Decent ish bootspace. :excited:
- Space for 3 in the back and a passenger in front. :excited:
- Unique styling with suicide doors etc etc. :excited:
- Same price as Cooper S. :excited:

Bad Bits:

- Its boring to drive.

Now what??

I love the Clubman S but it lacks the energy and the madness the Cooper S has in abundance of...

Its more composed and to be honest a better drive. But it doesnt make me laugh like a little boy.

Anyone else here driven a Clubman S? Agree or disagree with what Im saying?

Im only buying the car in October but already starting to do my homework.

Mike thats no fun, torque steer = fun, what about oversteer ?

its no fun if you aint doing it sideways

Zaleonardz - Have you driven the Cooper S? That car torque steers you off the road! The Clubman has a slight hint of Oversteer but nothing to shout home about... I found it easier to get the Clubman sideways then to get the Cooper sideways... Hence the confusion... technically its a much better car and you can have just as much fun in it... But it just lacks a bit of soul to me.

Kabal - Yes... I noticed that... But ya... I dont plan on impregnating anyone too soon so Im sure that will be fine...

Hellas - The thing is.. I do love station wagons. I still drool over the Audi Avants etc but this doesnt look completely stationwagon like... Its like a crossover... Its like the Crosspolo. Its still a Polo... Just slightly higher etc etc.

Jandre - Agreed totally. I think its better to maybe rather pick a JCW Cooper S. That way I wont become the taxi.

I see no point of the clubman, the boot is not even big, the rear leg room has minimal improvement over the hatch..
looks like the countryman is going to correct all those factors, hence them making a all new "bigger" mini
