Nice to see some "higher" mileage vehicles still running strong.

2010 N54 59960kms..... hence the need to change asap!!!:=):

Why asap? still have time and mileage left on MP?

Loses Value, trade now will be decent rather than when mileage is higher....

The logic is flawed. An 08 135i has a book trade of say R120k, you could probably sell it privately for around R170k. Maybe a little more if it's absolutely mint.

If you compare keeping it to buying a new equivalent car say a 235i or 240i. Those cars go for what about R800k. The moment you buy it you probably lose instantly R160k. That's the same as the value of the 135i.

If you think the 135i cost R400k new after 9 years is worth 27% of that then over 9 years you will lose R600k on the 235i and that's before you add finance charges. With interest the cost / loss in value of the 235i over 9 years is probably close to R1m.

Whereas the 135i will probably still be worth the same in 9 years time due to inflation and the fact they will become increasingly rare.

Replacing a good 135i with a 235i makes Zero sense from a money point of view.

I agree fully..

This is why i bought a 135i..
To replace it with similar performance (especially now that it has a few nicies under hood) i need to spend upwards of R700k..

Not worth it for me..
I'm happy with her for now...
3lt twin turbo
Fast as m4
Looks good
Comfy
Weekends only...
Best performance buy..

I've an N54 2010 and I'm putting on the M3 suspension bits and a Quaiffe limited slip diff on it with Koni shocks. The car will drive like a 1M at a fraction of the cost.
