Meet and greet + Economy run

Hi All

Has anybody done or thought of doing a bmw economy run? Was thinking about having a meet and greet plus a fun run friendly competition to compare different models such as 320d, 330d, all the way up to v8's. maybe even turn it into a breakfast run. Anyone interested or this a stupid idea?

Sounds like a nice idea :thumbs: For once atleast our 320d's will come out on top haha.Let's see what ideas we can come up with to take this forward

Well i'm not quite sure how to go forward with this, was hoping that someone has done this before. Ive just joined the forum, so not very clued up with how guys do things around here.

I would think that we meet in jozi or pta somewhere and then everyone does a reset on their clocks ( easiest would be if everyone going has l/100km reader), take a run on the M1/N1/N14 get off at lanseria, broederstroom, harties go over the dam wall and have a brekkie across chameleon village. Roughly a 60-80km run. Each guy takes a photo of his odo b4 and after. Best readings win

Obviously the 320d's will have an edge, so there will have to be classes so that each group has a winner.

Maybe we can incorporate some challenges along the way. Maybe we should put 6 peoople in the 320d's :rollsmile:

We all know the E34 are the Mafia squad, so we take the dead bodies out of the boots of the E34's and put them in the 320d's... that should even things out a bit.

If that don't work, we just get them to shoot the 320d drivers :fencelook:

But it does sound like a good idea tho, always wanna to do one of those. Personally I think is more adrenaline rush coz I keep wanting to get better and seeing the fuel consumption drop :rollsmile:

Anyway on a serious note, we have not had any decent breakfast runs lately, so will be keen to join :thumbs:

However, can we perhaps do this around mid-August onwards, as some of the guys are fasting this month.
