Perhaps we can break it down a bit. Nothing too serious:

1) Best diesel
2) Best petrol NA
3) Best petrol turbo

Anything more granular (e.g. 4 and 6 cylinder, etc) starts becoming too complicated.

Surely there should be a worst consumption prize as well?

simple
start at a garage,everybody fill up to the brim,then we all follow a specific route with a couple stops here and there,then the end point is the same garage you started at

then fill to the brim again and work out from there

everybody has done exactly the same route,so theoretically all have done the same kilos,it will then be upto the liters each car takes,the one that takes the less liters wins

I implied the fuel consumption trip. It's separate to km readings.

well with the E38, I could easily be a contender for the "HIGHEST" consumption

currently the consumption computer, says 20l/100km (town driving only)

but then again my E39 "tractor" is half that with also only town driving...so I might be in with a slim chance...slim !

just browsing thru the 4 pages, I didn't see any suggested routes yet ?

if its going to be on "any given Sunday" I could be in for the challenge
