MASS AIR FLOW Question

Hi Guys 

I tried to buy a MAF Sensor from Diesel Electric & after we went to get the one out of my car for the sample the guy didn’t want to sell me a Bosch one & told me I must go straight to the Agents since mine is branded by Siemens/VDO

Is this a thing or I can use Bosch as well? Because my thinking if it’s 3 pins it should be fine.

E46 330i is a Siemens/VDO unit and there is no Bosch equivalent. Buy from the agents.

They might, actually. But generally I feel that for an important part like this, it’s better to stick with the OEM brand.

The aftermarket equivalent air sensors are oftentimes erratic.

Rather get the Siemens VDO unit.

They are quite expensive no lie but honestly I would rather keep things stock as it comes to be honest... had some cool things about it but I don’t think I’ll go that route.
