do you mean this one?

No. that's a E24/1, RSA 'M' a limited BMW SA, series 1 car. Dog leg box, lowered suspension, different final drive. Not a proper M6.

There was another red 6er there. Much later model wheels on. That was a pukka M6 (I think)

The only e24 to carry the M6 name came only in the US for the rest of the world it was called the M635CSi. Being a US car it would have needed to have the silly US spec bumpers and be LHD, this one was RHD.

What you say is true. How ever the one at the show had simply an 'M' badge. That is correct for all RHD non-US M6s.

It was called an M635CSi, but badged 'M'

I think that was a real one.

I still have my doubts, not sure how the interior are supposed to look, but I would at least expect sport seats on an "M" car, this one had nothing, interior was that of a bog standard e24.

The red 635 with the modern rims is Ferndando Biko, he was there with the white 850 too. As far as I know it is NOT a genuine M6.

I can find out for you. I know of only a handful M6 in SA. Main differences is the M88, wider flared arches, all are in Manual, front and rear spoilers, and some Alpina bits if I am not mistaken. Seats are not an issue as you could spec with executive seats instead of Sport seats.

For those who want their judged sheets you can contact Colin, he can scan and send to you. I think he email appears on the invitation and posted on the thread about the day.
