Hi All,

I wanna give the new lady some TLC when I get her, would the following items be a good step, and what am I missing
9xbottles of Gearbox oil (What was that No Clutch)
Gearbox filter -
Power steering fluid , any specifics ?
Brakefluid - Just the standard stuff ?
8 x plugs - NGK's
Oil filter
Fuel Filter
AIr filter
What oil - liqui moly - how many litres and spec for a 14 year old car with 250,000 on the clock
Coolant - I wanna flush the whole coolent system as well.
Brake pads - Will check existing ones first.
New battery
Any oil addictives to help with those tappits ?

WHat else do I need to get, and what should I do first thing

THanks guys ?

What about checking out the wheel bearings?
Diff oil? - confirm before changing - if no issues with diff then rather not touch...i assume LSD?
Change out pollen filter..
Have the suspension checked by a mech you know - then they can check what else need changing under there - like Sparky was looking at - the rear trailing arm bushings and control arm bushings
If has Vanos - may want to consider changing out the vanos bolts - which tend to break off...as in E36M3.2
goodluck

Thanks man.. some good advise there.

I though about the diff as well, I just want to get her going, so the gearbox oil and main oil are critical.

She is being towed to my place on saturday (thanks daddy) and I hope that the gearbox oil change will be enough to get that box working, both me and clutchy tend to think so,

But ya, I think i should do the control bushings all round out of principle, even if its gonna cost me a bit, but I can do that in the next few months, and if the diff is not squeeking, then I will leave that alone, and tackle one repair at a time.

I think its just critical that I get fresh fluids in her all around as soon as possible, we shall see this weekend.

I E34 service party at my place this weekend, whos coming :)

Nice try - service party :clap:

Oh yah - also check or really consider replacing rear shock mounts - a really worthwhile investment...

Kewl..

The more the merrier, I would really appreciate it, Im pretty much a noob at this, so the more help I get the better, but Im learning really quickly, hence the reason for buying the E34

I re-read that M60 doc that Bimmerman posted, damm the technology is awesome, even for its old age.

And Uber, I stole your signiture pic and stuck it as my wallpaper of my office PC for inspiration. those mags really really round your car off nicely.
