The low anti-freeze warning would normally only come up by the time the tank is almost empty

So go the car back on Thursday, new waterpump (replaced by BMW) and new thermostat (covered by Hollard Xtender). Cost to me was R500. Hollard though only covered the thermostat (R3000 less my R500 excess) and not the labour for diagnosis.

Now this could be a placebo effect but noticed the following:
  • Car idles smoother, slight misfire is gone
  • Engine is far less noisier. Used to hear all kinds of different sounds.
  • There used to be a noise which only happend when I was driving < 20km/hr which is now gone
  • Car idles better when starting from cold. There were times when it felt as if the car was going to switch off.
  • Power delivery is now smooth again. Previously it had a slight hesitation when pulling away and through the gears
Maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me but car is driving very nicely again :clapper:
