Maf-Shop.com vs SA Maf prices

Hi

I needed a Maf for my car, e46 318 N42, this is what i found.
Bosch @ Diesel Electric = R3800
Bosch @ G-Drive = R3221
Bosch @ maf-shop.com = R1300(including shipping of $8)

even if i pay 40% duties, it will still be a lot less than what i would have paid in SA.

if anyone needs a Maf, go check maf-shop.com out.

still cheaper than the 40% you were factoring in. While i feel your apin in terms of vat and customs( i buy smaller items) i still take comfort knowing the overall cost is less.

I wonder, if maf-shop.com can sell bosch mafs for 1/6 the price stealers want, and maf-shop.com is making a profit, for what price does the dealers purchase mafs? Probably for $50

If they stocked my car's MAF and for a good price I would happily buy through them, but they don't seem to list it. And mine is a VDO-Siemens, so apart from the agents, not sure who else to go to for a new replacement...

New MAF fitted, car drives so much better. Power through the entire rev range, unlike before where is "stumbled" through the Rev range.

I have to say, it's a R1750 well spent, and worth every Rand

Thanks! But at $268 by the time it gets here it is going to be very very close to the agents price with a discount which I am usually able to get.

Sadly these guys are a waste of time! Phoned last Thursday but never heard back from them, so phoned again this morning. Again, had to leave the details and wait for them to phone me back. This time they did, nope, they don't stock my car's MAF - will have to get from the agents. So I asked them why it is listed on their site though, couldn't give me an answer!
