Yup mine to, Xcede ftw. Reliable power for 80k kms now and 2 years. Although I'm making 214wkw and 620nm.

At the end of the day the numbers on the graph are meaning less. There's no before run to compare so who knows the accuracy of this dyno. It could on stock form be "making" 200wkw on this dyno.

Not to say this car isn't quick. I'm sure it is. But going by the numbers the car made a 70% gain over stock. With minimal mods. Mmmhmmmmmm

Stock run was done at SR speedworx and was 176kw.
But now this is the problem. Already that stock run is 20% more than claimed stock and there is nothing to reference the other dyno used. So it's pointless. One needs to use the same dyno and compare %increase not hunt numbers. I'm not saying the car is slow or anything just pointing out the fact that these figures mean almost nothing. You're going to have some guy reading this thinking why he only got 220kw with the same mods and it must be the tuner able to somehow get another 40wkw out of a car.

Anyway I'm sure the car is hauling ass regardless. These 330ds move.

I'm not questioning the numbers bud. Dynos differs. Some are rather happy and will read high. They're not particularly accurate. Ideally one would do the runs on the same dyno on the same day. Second best is just using the same dyno. As dyno A is going to read different to dyno B. So to say you made x% increase between the two dynos is inaccurate.

We were always running at SR but some people kept saying No, we have to run at Kar because that is the benchmark dyno. So we did and that was the result. At the end of the day numbers are numbers, it's how the car drives on the road that counts.

its good numbers bud, fk what other professors have to say. Opinions are like a55holes, everybody has one and everyone turns into instant professionals on the interwebs.

Run your car on the road and compare if you like, mod the car and run it for numbers if you like...whichever it is...its is yours and enjoy it!

Yeah not going to get into a flame war with a child online. Who clearly knows fuckall if thinking a 330d with software and exhaust can somehow make 70% more power than stock and different dynos results make for good comparisons. Let me know when you've got more than a spelling error to throw out as an insult.

Dude,

you want to throw insults, and the fact that you want to insult me due to whatever claims he makes shows your maturity level, i did not insult you...I made a general statement and said everyone becomes a professor on the interwebs which is farkin true. if the shoe fits then wear the shoe and go jack off to 330d dyno sheets!!!

It would be awesome to see the car in the flesh run so to gauge how it has or puts down that power, till then why not let the gent enjoy his car and claimed power that it has made on the different dynos? When it is on the road, all can be revealed?

Grow up fella, you are seriously disappointing since your name is in purple but you behave like a spoilt brat with your name calling etc.

It's not about being a "professor" it's basic knowledge of how these things work. He kept posting different dyno results to justify the results. Instead of just accepting the facts. But if you two want to live in the land of unicorns and rainbows of denial. Then be my guest.

Your initial post was an indirect insult. I'm sure you atleast have the brains and EQ to be able to see that. Although now I'm actually not sure since you think one needs a PhD to be able to understand the inconsistencies and inaccuracies of dynos and how they should be used.

He's posting this on an open forum it's open to criticism and speculation. He's more than welcome to enjoy his dyno results. But it's an issue when someone like yourself who doesn't quite understand these things comes accross this thread claiming his 330d could potentially make more power than an m4...

Again with the spelling errors *yawn*

I never once claimed that his 330d could make more power than an ///M4, the initial post was an insult to whoever felt it was and you did.

I do understand the claims of power on different dynoes etc. but you can bash your head as much as you want, more dyno sheets will be uploaded as his proof and you will go on and on but you seem to be comfortable with that which is your choice.

I am not about bitching over dyno sheets and post after post about how it does not make sense, I would like to see the car on the road against a similar powered or even higher powered car and see the outcome. That for me shows it really has the power or not...that it is my preference but in all honesty, whenever a dyno sheet is uploaded, everyone has a dig at it and not everyone is doing it for the passion but more for just digging hence my 'professor' chirp..be honest and tell me I am wrong about that?

As you already know the inconsistencies of different dyno runs yield different gains on different days and temps etc etc. thats why I say let it be and lets see the car on the road.

its not about knowing anything and all that shit, I prefer to see the results in front of me and not continuously go on about different dyno sheets.

Whilst not an exact science doing the after run at KAR means the numbers do actually mean something. For a long time now most of us up here in Jhb have used KAR as the benchmark dyno, I’ve run all of my cars I’ve had at KAR and it has been a very consistent dyno. Back in the day when I had my modded pre-lci 330d it was an achievement to break 200wkw at KAR. Then it progressed with the E90 lci’s to achieving 220wkw and then we had gents getting close to and achieving 230wkw at KAR. So there are a lot of cars to reference to, same thing with the S54, most of us on here who have owned an E46 M or Z4M know what good figures are at KAR and what average figures are for your car to make. So as I said, whilst not an exact science, running those figures at KAR gives a good indication of how strong this 330d is.

Also, if some of you gents had a look, you’ll see that this is not Tobofey’s first time with a modded 330d, his pre-lci E90 330d manual was one of the first ones to make big power I think it was like 7/8 years ago.

I simply posted a dyno run that was done on the car. It's not thwre to start all out war on what a car can do on the rollers. It's not my dyno, I don't calibrate the dyno we simply ran on that dyno because we were asked to. I stated that the car ran a 13.4 at Tarlton on street tyres which we didn't think was bad at all. The post was simply for information aspect of what these awesome engines are capable of. We don't claim to be the best or the fastest or the strongest. It's just a car!:blowheart:

What fact are you referring to ???

The only fact here is that the OP ran his car on different dynos and the figures achieved are the ACTUAL FACTS.

Whether you choose to believe or not is solely your decision.

But do read @Ga-3m 's post to understand that the OP will not just pull figures out of his arse:cartel:

We all know that different dynos on different days in difference conditions or even the same dyno on the same day at different times can always differ, so what ????

You don't know what the state of tune is of this car.

What I can tell you from the VAG circles, is that CPI tuned VAGS are making way more power than FRC/FR&R cars for example, same mods too.

Why???????

Cos CPI is damn aggressive in their tune, the result??? Very questionable reliability in the long run.

Not saying thats the case here, but it is somenting to consider in genral that different tuners will make different power and how they dot it will also differ.

No use arguing the point:thumbs:

The sad thing about posts like these is that people will stop sharing information about their cars, all we will see is for sale posts.

That car must be so much fun to drive.

So much drama in such a short time.

just some points to note.....
1. Tobofey has already provided before and after dyno sheets on the same dyno ( SRS Speedworx), dont see why there is debate about accuracy of numbers or dyno if it was done at the same dyno. A dyno can only give an indication, so whichever way you cut it is never 100% correct, I think everyone accepts that.

2. Tobofey never said anything about fastest, quickest, best, beating something superior.

3. Dieselfan , Im sure you will agree, that the change in numbers and graph shape on the same dyno is more important than the numbers themselves and i believe thats what Madness were using it for. I would hazard a guess that the car was tuned on the dyno, so the final numbers might not even have been on the same day as logging might have been done and on the road tests were done. This implies that simply having a before run, then change tune, run again might not have the best indication as we have seen our cars adapt to changes.

4. I agree with Ga-3m

5. This is only my opinion
