ya a good look at that one, not quite ready to pull the trigger just yet, though. I know my budget is 300k+- but i dont really doubt that i will find a good m6 or m3 for that money, if i look at what is available right now. i need another 2-3 months before i buy, sort finances out properly, but i really dont mind waiting till jan, like i said it will be a spare weekend car.pimpassdaddy said:Hi mate
Your budget is a little on the low side IMHO. If you're looking for a pristine example, I'd say budget about R380 to R450k for a nice 07 model. The way I see it, the M6's have just about bottomed out at R400k. They've been hovering around there for a while and dealers are more than happy to keep the price there and wait for the right buyer, because they trade in badly and their GP is huge on them. That also gives you negotiating power on the flipside too.
Even the M3's for the mileage range you're looking for will be quite hard to find.
Have you seen this? I'd take this and run!!!! bargain of the century!!!

Honestly I just love the look of the E92 M3, but the M6 would be a close second.
LOL no problem my manBoosted@TheFanatics said:your at the coast, which means, let the n/a v10 sing her song ..... just make sure to get me a milkshake also when you go to Friesland ...

This is what scares me the most!:thumbdo: saw 2008 m3 for sale for 190k recently bearing knock. if that happens kiss your money good byeindividj said:should there be a concern about bearings for both //M's..i would think so...its totally put me off lol
For all the problems the m6 has it is this fact that makes me think of buying itshabba07 said:I'd say go for the M6. I don't think there will ever be another production car in the future that will come with a V10(besides supercars). This car will definitely be sort after in the future.
Agreed, im not not gonna buy junk. if i have to pay a little more to get the right thing i will.Eon said:pimpassdaddy said:Have you seen this? I'd take this and run!!!! bargain of the century!!!

A bargain yes, but apparently the car's a dog. That same link was posted on another thread (can't seem to find it now). Someone on this forum went to look at it and he said the clear coat was peeling all over and so forth. Someone also said, which I think is true, 'the most expensive ///M car you can buy is a cheap one'. Keep looking mate, but don't just look at the cheapest ones.
*EDIT* Found the thread: http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=67362&pid=1092503#pid1092503
i know this, thats why im asking you guys who have experience with the cars. 25k not bad at all. forgot to say i watched your e60 m5 best car ever vid, wow, I must admit that just pushed me over the edge lol, leaning towards m6 now!pimpassdaddy said:The bearing problem can be sorted out easily... Costs about R25k and you're good.
It's blown way out of proportion for something that can be fixed for a relatively low cost. I'm having mine done as a precaution.
Google in the forum, there was a guy with an e92 M3 whose bearings failed. It's an ///M wide problem, also dependant on how the vehicle was driven. I've seen M6's with 140k km on the clock and have NEVER had a problem.

Then never buy any M car. They all need bearingsindividj said:the v10 does sound absolutely insane with pipes!!! I just don't like the idea of paying retail & then forking out R25k for bearings
Nope... TuneTech quoted me that. Its including a new oil level sensor.Gary57 said:Who does bearings for R25k, I heard it was a lot more...
