M54B25 engine replacement

Hi guys. I replaced my e46 325ti's engine.
The problem I descovered after the replasement engine was fitted, is that the coils differ. The old engine had the clip on type coils and the new one the pencil type push in coils.
What is the best way to tackle this problem?

Gizmo some guys are talking about swapping the crank and cam sensors to?
What if I swap the coil plugs of the loom?
Do I have to swap the ECU?

There is no need to swap cam and crank sensors, ''some guys'' smoke socks.
An alternative to swapping the valve covers over is to swap the coils wiring harness as it is separate to the main engine wiring harness.
No need to swap ECU.
