M5 f10 owners

Are you looking to get buy one? Had mine for about six months. Still look for any excuse to go for a drive, and then take the long way to get there. Still turn around and give it a second look when walking away from it. And as it should, it still sometimes scares the sh!t out of me. Driver aids off, it's a beast, especially since I had been driving AWD cars for a while.
I think it's best feature is it's split personality, a gentle pussy cat in its ECON/COMFORT settings and at the push of a button you can have everything set to SPORTS PLUS and embarrass a lot of so-called 'sports cars'. You should have seen the face of the poor sucker in the GT3 RS, outside Lanseria, who picked a fight with this ordinary looking white sedan, with a baby chair in the back nogal. Well actually I could't see his face either, he was too far behind.

This is one amazing car. Went to look at it when it was first launched in Germany. Absolutely beautiful and a brute of a car. Ordered one from donford. But changed my mind on arrival when i disvovered it was just too heavy for my liking. I dont know why i thought it would be as nimble as a 3 series - visually it creates that impression. And then there is my 335i factor, something really exciting have to pursued me away from it.

So the new M5 is extraordinary, and appeals to a specific owner/driver. :inlove:

When I bought mine a CLS 63 AMG with performance pack or a Panamera Turbo where the options. Both have their good points. CLS looks good and sounds awesome, but has terrible resale. I was offered one with 180km on, R300k off the original price. The Porsche has an amazing interior but felt heavy and a bit sluggish, despite what the figures might say.
The M5 just ticked more boxes, and felt decidedly quicker. If you dont believe me, there's more than enough evidence on youtube. Panamera might quicker out of the hole due to its all wheel drive, but in the real world, from a rolling start or in a kickdown situation it doesn't keep up. And if you can live with that Panamera arse,..... well the less said the better....

Thanks ... Picked one up this saturday(used). Was indecisive on the panemera or the m5. Correct m is much better in all aspects but, 1 last question, why the traction control comes on all the time. It's a bit annoying that "hold back"feeling? Anything I can do correct this. Even with traction control off it still holds the power back, in any setting, econo, sport or plus.

I have gtr 35 as well, and there is nothing holding this thing off the line, so when the m5 does its a it annoying, but, very happy.

Thanks again,

I find the traction control interrupts less as the tyres warm up and grip improves. There is a coding 'cheat' that once programmed, on tyre pressure screen, it will show you actual pressures and actual temps of the individual wheels. But I know what you're saying, even in MDM the traction control intervenes eventually. You could always switch the aids off completely. I suppose the difference with your 35, is the difference between rear and all wheel drive with regards to the traction.

Greenson, man if this m could get the power down, it would absolutely deadly. I will look into the tps and see if there is way to cheat the system
