M43 head gasket query

Hi all, just had to change the head gasket on a 316i M43. My question concerns the new gasket, a genuine part, matches the realOEM part no. It fits fine, but the holes for the water jacket are small (5mm) holes, not matched to the block and head like the one that came out. Potential cooling problem? The original's part no. does not exist, says realOEM. Anyone had the same?
