M4 Stock Dyno figures ? FR&R

Dyno is a tool
basically what you want is the delta.
stock and than with mods

SAV's dyno is known to be rather stingy and the correction factor is much much lower than the other graphs I have seen.

a proper stingy dyno is PERFECT POWER.

so which dyno in JHB is accurate ?

Is the tyremart one in sunninghil any good?

It doesn't matter which dyno, just use the same one for before and after.

I ran that same car on Tyre Mart and FRnR and there was a 5kw difference.

Again it actually means squat!
run it on same dyno before mods and after mods..
what counts is the delta the "difference" in the gains.

or even more accurate use a vbox and pick the same road and same setting.

that's a true indication of how a car performs.
not strapping it on a DYNO with impressive figures.

Ran 2 M3s at FRnR. Both bench flashed. Broke the record by a margin. 480 n 500hp. JB cars were making around 440 hp

Sherwin with what Fuel?
and bootmod or HEX?
40hp difference is huge between the flash and JB4

My Stock M3 made 338wkw @ frr
No Mods ..

Ran 251kmh @ odi ..
How is this possible, that your car is making a few kw less than a modded one? There has to be an explanation. I am sure you never mod thereafter so one wouldn't see same gains as a modded one, like a 35% increase to that 338kw

Never heard of Durban Stock before?:tiptoe:

All these cracked/tuned turbo bmws running around these days its impossible to tell if you buying a stock used BMW or not. This looks to be the case with babyboss' m3 with 35% more power than factory. He thought he was buying a stock m3 but a run on the dyno proves otherwise.

I am under the impression that no two BMWs are alike, and claimed figures tend to be quite conservative for that reason. It depends on how the car was run in/driven throughout its lifetime and varying manufacturing tolerances. It is quite possible that a stock M4 can make more power than claimed.

Will say made 286wkw on my previous M4 at FRNR want to see what I make on the new car. Even with proper run in if a car is pushing an extra 40wkw then that is something fishy, but anything is possible
