so I went this morning with my friend this morning to sort out the payment and things for the M4 GTS, one helluva car , when they started that thing it sounded like a full-on race car , I am impressed , apparently the allocation has been reduced to 23 cars for South Africa , with the two being sold in Cape Town , the demo will be at Cape Town Bmw until Monday , so if you want to see it now is the time , I took some pictures , no sound clip though .

it is a demo , it is apparently the same one that they used for that record breaking run at the Ring , customer delivery will only take place in September .

The above m4 GTS is a concept and will go back to germany after it finishes tours SA. The concept GTS does not have a water injection system, interior (seats steering center console etc) it is much higher and is not as loud as a real GTS

You can only go and apply to order a GTS and pay a deposit of 10% of the cars price after that BMW SA will call and tell you if you have qualified to get the GTS ir not, and if not your deposit will be returned.

no , I think those wheels look good , this is one of those things you have to see for yourself and then decide how everything comes together , for that colour those wheels work , just don't know if it will look good on the other colour variants .

This is not the real thing because no gts comes with backseats and all have GTS engraved on the dashboard. This does not have the GTS steering with the acid orange mark at 12oclock.

my friend opted for the no cost rear seats instead of the fire estinguisher and roll cage , will use the car for our yearly road trip down the Garden Route to the KNysna hillclimb and occasional holiday trip , BMW phoned this morning and said the car will be here around September , so now we will wait and see.

no he did not get one , BMW sa could not explain why he was not allocated one , dealership then offered him the DTM championship edition , he declined it saying it looks like a regular M4 with stripes ,was going to buy a GTS second hand but I told him to rather look at a Porsche GT3 for that money .

Seems like this is the standard operating procedure for BMW these days on any new M car. Empty promises about allocation, not much of an explanation afterwards. Personally I cant believe one would treat high end clients like poop!
