Talking fast cars, I drove a buddie's 335i. Yussus, man, that thing is really quick! Driving normally one does not get the sense of power and it feels like any normal 330, but push the sport button and it's a different story! The car hunkers down, stiffer suspension, louder exhaust, quicker throttle response and blistering acceleration! I WANT ONE!!!!!! OMG!

I'll take a swing at how it happened: (With the photographic evidence to my disposal...)

Look at the first pic. He came the came same way as the blue corolla. (Around the bend in the background). Now see it from the drivers perspective: You go around that bend and the tail comes out to the left because the road is wet (or because you were too fast...). You drift across the road, into the oncoming traffic lane, then counter steer, but too much, and the tail slides out to the right. You climb the pavement (where the police bakkie is standing). On the grass the car loses complete traction and slides sideways into the tree, before being flung around (by the force of the tree impact) to it's final position.

How'd I do?

I think you're spot on!! I drove past that very evening and noticed the very deep tyre marks on the verge (not much grass left where the tyre plouged through)

I've come around there already and had a similar experience, fortunately not hitting the dirt!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha LOL!!! It did cross my mind! the parts that I need were damaged though!! Shjoh there's not much that can be salvaged!

All I know is that this should have been a moerse bang! Why didnt my mother hear this and tell me about it last night! No wonder when I went to the shop to buy a bread, one of the cops from the police station asked me if I was ok. I was very confused. Now I know that they assumed it was mine.

Shady you're right, this goes back to what you said yesterday, its just too foolish! People think driving fast cars is child's play. Definately like the oke on Gumtree said, the car is a handfull!

Well not for the tree it wasnt. :shakehead:
I know you're DYING to know the gritty details....so when you do dig up the dirt...keep us posted :)

BTW Look on the bright side Fuzz...@ least our avus blue coupes are a tad rarer :mmm:

Joh, no ways I aint planning on digging up no dirt! :nono: I think I've had my fair share of facing on comming traffic and giving off stink, silent poepies and not the nice, "I wet myself!"

Advanced driving was the logical next step! BMW just offered another one for R3800 (in one of their vehicles!!) about a week ago! :excited:

I know, I just loooooove my car!

These are examples as to why i should just shut my mouth, quit complaining as i did in the insurance thread, and keep paying my sky high premiums coz i don't wanna be caught in a similar situation without any insurance!

CIB has just become my best friend! :)

I need to be careful with my 318i in the rain... can't take quick gaps in traffic as the rear just loses traction at 2500 rpm already. Think I'll be to scared to drive an E36 M3 in the rain.:mmm:

do you know what car it is in?

I did the collision avoidence one a couple years back in an e46 330i on the skidpan, but would ideally like to do the high performance driving one, where you go on the track.

cant find prices on http://www.bmwdrivertraining.co.za

HI there. I searched high and low to see if I still have the invitation sent to me. What I can remember is that the vehicle made available was one of the 320D's. The cost included a light snack etc. I didnt take too much interest at the time.

Yep I too am interested in the Advanced High Performance Driving. (Not sure what the cost is now and what vehicle is made available for this)
