Has anyone had any experience with GAS on an M car?

ive done research on the international forums, and as always, different opinions, some say the engine can handle it, some say its really not good...

Ive been toying with this idea for a while..Obvisouly i dont wana fuck up the car, at all.. It goes perfectly well enough to swat of the hot hatches from robot to robot..but the gas would be really fun for when you come face to face with some of the big boys..!!

What gains and costs am i looking at..??

I have gas in the M when I eat too much nachos...:mmm:
Just kidding - anyway, I was looking at getting the M chipped and when I spoke to one of the shops, the owner says that the gains are going to be minimal. He then suggested that I should get gas cos the S54 loves it. Then I spoke to another shop and they say that a chip is the way to go and I should only think about gas once the motor is highly modded. So who do I beleive...:cursin:

the cars that "blow up" are the ones that dont have redundant solenoids
what happens is that the nitrous solenoid freezes open and u end up with excess amounts of gas in the motor.
if u set it up correctly and use the right parts , it can be pretty reliable

i am thinkin of fitting my spare setup on my v8

I ran a two stage nx setup on my e36 m3 before I went turbo and had loads of fun with it, 75 shot single and 150 shot direct port system.
If you not looking at spending to much nitrous is the way to go, I had two years of fun with no issue's and with that being said I ran twin soleniods on the gas side and had a throttle and steering wheel switch which would only activate the system when you are at wot and depress the streering wheel button.

It can be safe used properly and installed by someone who knows what they are doing... Oh yes and my stock clutch battled to hold the 75 shot.
