A driver of a 135 almost put his car into the bushes, trying to chase me up Peacevale.

I'm sure everyone whom has travelled up there on the N3, will know what i'm talking about.

i dont think that has anything to do with the car but a lot to do with the driver.

Well I only drive my M3 on weekends, sometimes only twice a month. But i tell you it gets driven like how a M3 was built to be driven.

Straight line is fun, but you get bored very quickly.

How often do you visit a race track? MSports pack is also fun on public roads....

Here's a quick one:

Merc's most powerful N/A is the SLS with 67.7 kw/litre

BMW e46 M3 - 78.75 kw/litre
BMW e9x M3 - 77.25 kw/litre
BMW e60 M5 - 74.6 kw/litre

Let the figures do the talking

Add Honda Figures there and the M doesnt seem impressive then...

you know what is really fun? when i get to the robot and an m3 is next to me making all its manly noises. grrrrrrrrrr grrrrrrrrrrrr. robot goes green and the m3 is left trailing behind me making more noise than ever before. the best part is when you arrive at the next robot and the m3 driver's facial expression has gone from an arrogant smirk to a jealous grimace. now that is fun :fencelook:

Let's see how long we can keep this thread running.
I personally feel the debate has not been settled... :fencelook:

OK Then.
If BMW made the 135 or the 335 better then the M3. They would have stopped making the M3... oops....... they are actually now putting the same type of engine in the NEW M3.........

It nice to compare kw/litre but truth be told line up a m3, m5, m6 against the SLS and the M will be buried alive. So kw/litre goes out the window:tease:.

So far all the m3 has twisty roads and driving dynamics going for itself, i see the x35's well ahead....no pun intended:fencelook:

I'll race my modified M3 against any Modified 135i.

Supercharged vs Turbocharged.

Fi vs Fi

Compare apples with apples.

they made the m3 to cater for track racers, n/a die hards, etc. :fencelook:

the m3 is a better car than the 135i, lets not pretend otherwise. my argument is the 135i is a better package than the m3. in other words, for the price it offers the following:
1) same comfort features
2) excellent handling (altho not as advanced as the m3)
3) excellent performance
4) very easy, affordable tuning options
5) no anti-tuning software the voids warranty like the m3
6) beautiful understated styling. take one look at Revo's car and tell me it doesnt look good! yes the extras cost $$ but what was the price of a new m3 again?

so as bimmer said about the new m3 getting an engine similar to the x35i - the m3 couldnt beat the x35i so as the old saying goes, if you cant beat em, join em. :tease:

Now thats a fresh approach "if you cant beat em, join em."

What you guys have forgotten, is that the 1M has already got the x35is motor with the e92 M3 suspension, brakes and differential... :) The M3 is going a similar route. BMW have no other choice, but to go this route, due to emission regulations.
