:praise::praise: Great work.

As for the owner, I have massive respect for you, I would have cut my losses after Peter's first assessment and called it quits by selling the car.

The perseverance you have displayed, I take my hat off to you.

Zayd is a most determined young gentleman.

I am actually looking forward to the day the mechanicals are finished and the interior refurbishment/renewal starts.

Time to tackle the window glass replacement.

Top gear reference, lol.

2nd hand replacement glass needs a good clean before I install it.

Much better.

Window mech has been removed before and riveted back in place, very poorly might I add, the mounting holes are damaged because of it. I had to drill the rivets out to remove the window mech.

Holes are messed up.

Now I know why the door speakers don't work.

Give the door a good once over, including sucking out all the sand and dust inside the door.

Now water cannot get trapped inside the door and cause rust.

Mech ready for stripping and cleaning, you can see the rivets that were used to fasten the mech, which was moving around quite a bit during operation.

Clean.

Next to be cleaned is the guide rail.

Ready for greasing, assembly and re-install.

New fastening method, rivets don't do it for me like large flat washers, bolts and lock nuts. Final door pics tomorrow.

This ancient tracker/netstar needs removal once the car is running again, it was sitting under the cluster.

Oh and here is the backboard I will be installing to replace the sound carpet covered one.

More pics tomorrow guys.

Very nice work. The windows on my car also need some TLC. After sorting out the mechanicals, my car will be paying you a visit.

Completed the driver's door this morning. Its way more difficult to align correctly compared to a 4door model, took some time to get it just right.

Mechanism greased and installed after the replacement glass was installed.

My fastening method of short bolts with large washers and lock nuts works way better than the rivet method.

It moves up and down quietly and smoothly now, success!

Tried my best to get the alignment just so.

Door panel back on, replaced the 2 missing screws too. Door done, onto the next job tomorrow, gearbox refresh!
