I would recommend someone who actually knows BMW's.

Kamal from Mototechnik

**Yawn**

Peter has worked on two of my cars now. I have never dealt with someone who is more competent and professional.

There is a reason I train my cars all the way from CPT to Joburg, to make use of Peters services.

Burgy... you obviously still have an axe to grind... I suggest you go do it with the individual in person....

I am personally bored of it..

Kish, brother, had your car got so fucked by said mechanic, you would also be doing the same as Burgy. Get off your high horse china. Sick of the double standards on this forum, I used to love it here, now, not so much. As an administrator, I know it is your responsibilty to keep the peace, but I think it is also your responsibility to let users post their opinions. Let me remind you the reason A1exander's Axis Engine works was banned/removed from the advertisers on this forum.

There is no axe to grind, these are the facts. People are asking where to send their cars to have work done, and some of us are disagreeing with the choices proposed because A1exander damaged many members cars. This is a community run forum, and Burgy, being a member for many years, who in the past has organised events that have raised awareness and funds for this forum, has a very valid point.

Many members seem to idolize A1exander, but have never actually had to deal with the frustration of having their pride and joy being damaged by said mechanic, nor did you have to sit through all the lies and deceit. They can send their cars to who ever they want, but as a community run forum, I think it is wise to let members post their experiences, even if it appears to be "getting old" for you Kish. You have a responsibility china, live up to it.

Firstly... I am not your "China" please don't refer to me that way...

Secondly I didn't realise your are Burgys mouth piece since he can't type this himself.

Lastly, I said if Burgy or now yourself have an issue with another member then have the spine to go over to that person and reach an agreement however yourll want. Yes the thread in question is available for anyone to see by simply searching the forum so instead of acting like jilted ex lovers who need every opportunity to take a stab at one another, go fix it like men.

The question was asked and 2 names came up. Peter and Kamal.

It is now up to the individual needing the repair to do his homework and contact either party and obtain a quote.

It is pointless asking for an estimate on the forum as prices could have changed since the last repair took place by either party.

Agh not this again...

Its unfortunate that Crash and a few other have had expensive/bad/nasty experiences with Peter. In the same breath, there are others who have and are receiving great service.

Please guys, respect each other here. No need to bastardize this situation. Its over, its in the past. This debate will not be allowed.

Crash/Burgy, your point is made. Let it rest guys, please!!

I have a friend who bought his M3 on 98000km.... That car hardly moved, but when it did, it was molested to a point that purists would shake their heads and walk away.
He's never had a days issue with the car....

However, it is nice to have piece of mind.
I would recommend Kamal or Tune Tech, I know Savspeed does it as well but not sure about customer experiences with them.

We dont need this drama resurfacing. The Staff were consumed in this for days the last time.

I've closed this thread until you all calm down. I will re-open tomorrow and the first person that brings up the drama will be banned.

Crash/Burgy, you have said your share, it will stay in this thread. The rest that are jumping on the bandwagon can chill...

As discussed before I found a e90 that I will be picking up on Friday in Dbn and I am in JHB. I didn't have the chance to look at the car but it is from a BMW dealership and it going through the it checks. Question I have is how many have had problems with there M's on the bearings and DCT box. It my second E9x as I had e92 Manuel full spec and didn't have a day of problems with it. I picked it up with 28k km on it and sold it with 58k km and enjoyed it. This one has 90k and out of plan. Any advise given before delivery/collecting

Hi Revs,

Apologies for locking your thread temporarily. As advised there are a few people you can take your car to, the choice is yours. Use the experiences posted here as you may.

As with any repairer, being human, we have to allow for the mishap, a repairer that comes forth and admits to his error is the one i would use.

I will open up the thread again later/tomorrow and the members can continue to assist.

Regards,
Arbee

I agree with this.

I like to research and ask a few people before sending my car anywhere.

I am one of those people who "Idolize" due to hearing good things from multiple people.

I am glad something like this is aired openly (maybe not on this poor guys thread) as it possibly helps people avoid 'situations' in the future, or if not avoid at least be more weary.

BMW does not replace bearings only engines. Already enquired with them last year.

Gentlemen,

Thank for all the gr8 action and response and b&$ching it was gr8.

Now back to what is needed in advice from fellow fanatics. Tunetech is at +- 25k and off the bat the send u a email like its normal problem and the do it on a daily. The price of labour is the worst part of the hole quote.

Who can assist me with the right after market service plan. Innovation have got a policy between 8k to 18k and only covers x amounts. Is it worth having that.

To the mediators tks for stopping the thread from going forward and out of hand.
