So I imported a flowed head n polished with titanium retainers etc with a custom made came which we assured me its a straight bolt on so I get it started like in feb went to some of d top dbn guys to install the cam but the problem was that d cam holes were not drilled to factory spec so from day the mechs said the cam timing will never be 100s so it a waist going with dat cam however I sent d head to guys like old dutch racing n said d head was done to the tee any way gav it to my own mech n he fitted everyng 100s cos he sent it to ov harward n he marked everyng
Any I drove d car nothing more 4000 rpm for like 150km n no issue at all I sant it to a tuner in dbn won't mention names n after 2 weeks he say d car piked up a miss as he was gng to put fuel n then it refused to star but he said no noise from d bottom end or anythin
But whem I had it startd it sounded like a tructor
So we open d head n saw dat a valve droped n the 1st piston is bad with some bore damage just wanted to get any advise to exaclt what could have ground n where about could it be from d fitting of d cam like cam timing so oUt it droped a valve or was d tuninf not done correct at all the only prob is I drove d car myself for 150km n not a sound a jerk so basically I gave tuner a smooth running car n he gave me a non runner! To do more experince what whould u suggest caused this? Please any help be apprecited thanks

I'm not sure I understand, and my eyes hurt after trying to read the above just once. Nevertheless good luck with getting it sorted out.

Did the entire valve fall into the cylinder? Or did part of it just break off?

If the entire thing fell in it might just be that it was poorly fitted to start off with, maybe.

The cam timing being out could cause something like this, did the tuning guys change the cam timing? I am meaning fiddled with the timing chain.

:yuck: dude please use a spell checker and some punctuation my head hurts after reading that...

is the tuner taking no responsibility for what happened? this is going to be very expensive to fix... i dont know who to recommend in dbn but you need someone who knows what they doing...

And tell us the names of the Durban tuners too so that we know who to stay away from.

That behaviour is not called for. The guy is in a tuff situation and asking you guys for help.

Get a sense of humour.

I for one ignored his entire post due to Mxit speak. BTW, what is tuff ?

Drop IT...Drop the guy Moosa's number!

guys it may seem harsh and silly, but if you want help its way easier to get it if you make it easy for people to understand what you talking about...

alot of people would not have bothered to read the whole post because it was difficult to follow...
