Second hand M3 would be 100 times better than this. Not sure why you cant compare it to a new car. Only thing you cant compare is new car price vs used car price, but value is definitely something u can compare. You get more car and more value for a 2nd hand M3/M4 than you do for a new M2. I understand that new will always been more expensive, but that doesnt take away the fact that you would be crazy to go new M2 instead of used M3/M4.

Just my opinion.

but by that logic what car is worth buying new?

I follow you not :)

Misread sorry. No car is worth buying new unless that car won't dent your bank balance at all. As has been said. Let the rich buy the new cars. Lol

If no new car is worth buying then EVERY new car is crap compared to what you can buy second hand  this is why the comparison is pointless :) no car will ever be well priced new if you looking at second hand car prices

those that are looking at buying the M2 new will be looking at what else they can buy new in that price bracket rather than second hand because they are after a new car not second hand
many just dont want the hassle of second hand car ownership and are willing to pay for a new car

Pricing seems good to me. Considering the RS3/A45s are also 800k cars, I'd have this. But still in love with the M4.. hmmmmm

I understand what you are saying, but with BMW comprehensive MP you get that peace of mind with second hand cars. Lets not forget the many stories we hear on here about problems with out the box new cars.

For this reason a used M3/M4 is a much better buy than this new M2.

Are we going around in circles? :roflol:

M3/M4s are too big.
Each gen gets bigger, this is the perfect size.
With the weight saving it'll give M4s a tough time on the track.
I'd love to get one of these in a few years :blowheart:

Someone mentioned a new Z4M… it'll probably be huge, so not exactly excited to see one :hammerhead:

It boggles why people rate a car by how it performs on track, yet when we get to the local trackdays, there are no M cars on the track?

shoo, many many monies. I so hate being poor lol

That said, I'm gonna stick my neck out here by saying I'd prefer an RS3 :tiptoe:

The sound of that engine is just too tantalising.....and a R100k saving ain't shabby either lol

Am I the only one around here who prefers comfort over acceleration? :mmm:

No, love the soft squishy suspension in my AH3.

And soft suspension gives better traction off the line which gives better 0-100 times. My AH3 is actually 0.2s faster to 100 than what my M135 was.

MaX I have tracked my m3 about 6 times already, would have been more but for other priorities. First time was even before 2k run in service. Outside the GT3 it's the quickest road car I have driven on track.
I will say if you haven't tracked your M2/3/4 you have absolutely no idea of its potential, it's a bit like the 4X4's in Sandton that tackle those pavements.

I got the same feeling when I sat in an m4 a couple days back, boy have they grown :hammerhead:

How does the M4 compare in dimensions to the E63 M6? Or better still the E24 M635CSi?
