And here we thought it was a ///M car. Sharing a motor across the range makes perfect sense

M cars are meant to be special IMO

All the effort into using a n55 block but M3 internals, something does not add up or make any sense

Drive it and then see. It's dynamics are so much better than the already amazing 235i m.

No i want it on at the same price! they can cut some of their profit..lord knows they're making an absolute killing. Its not like they even had to develop a b58 for this.

How does it sound?

I have been following this car a lot on the interwebs, most people say it sounds a lot better than the f80 M3/M4 (which I actually like)

I've heard clips on youtube, and it has got a deeper burble than the high pitched rasp of the s55.

Would be cool to hear your impressions

It does sound awesome. Passed a black one in Sunninghill on Saturday afternoon and it sounds bloody good. I don't know what to compare it to as BMW doesn't have anything else that sounds this good. It's not as muted as the other M cars. I just wonder if it has the same drone as a 1M at highway speeds. :thinking:
