M135i chip (again)

So I've not been on the forum for a while since I had my F21 135 3-Door (M)which I traded in for the new S3 :sorry: and missed the 135 ever since.

The F21 was chipped with Superchips from Turbo & Recon Center,

Long story short, I've recently gone back to a 2014 F20, 5Door Auto and what a difference,

Anyway, apparently the service team can now pick up any changes when the car goes in for a service even if the pnp unit is removed ?

Is this so ? I was looking to try out CPI Tuning as they did my S3 ?

JB 4 bud , from what I understand CPI is more for VW brand and Audi

Bud, no one will put their balls on the line to risk telling you they cant pick the unit up. In the end you pay to play. If you take the risk, be prepared to get caught. If you cant afford a M135 out of plan or are worried about resale implications of the car being out of plan, just don't do it.

If you want pooooweerrrr, then just get the PNP (I suggest JB4 btw) and enjoy the car!

I hear you fully, I was under the impression, you remove the unit pre arrival at a dealer but my sales guy said they check the logs for irregularities on all "m" cars - but he wasn't certain if that was only m1/2/3/4 etc and not these cars which aren't true m cars.

to be honest, i usually don't keep the car long enough to have it serviced but I'm getting old and trying to be more responsible :bin: anyway, appreciate the advise

Apart from the ridiculous repayment, it didn't warrant an extra R3k per month over what I was paying on the F21. Although the auto-box was nice vs the manual of the F21

I have a buddy who had extensive work done to the engine on his 135i after removing the JB4 unit. MP covered it all. Take the necessary precautions and you should be fine. If they accuse you, do like Baldrick does and deny everything.

The amount of money claimed on MP for the job was huge. If they could tell, they wouldn't have paid.
