I've been contemplating buying one for a while. The maintenance , especially potential gearbox problem reports worry me.

Does anyone know of a good aftermarket warranty that will cover most costs in case something big goes wrong .

I believe that you always here about the bad things however you rarely here about the good things therefor I just looked for a clean M5 that was taken care off so that it will take care of me!

Funny story is that its now for sale as my wife is pregnant and I just bought a 4 door jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

would be nice to have both, the v10 grows on you very quickly ,true that you only hear the bad stuff, parts can be found at decent prices with some searching .
